New Type of USB Charger for Rail Passengers
New USB Charger fits all devices everywhere and is easy and cheap to fit.
Passenger comfort specialist TBM Rail of Crewe has launched a new concept in device charging while travelling by train.
The new TBM Charger is a 1.2 amp usb port connected to a traditional 13 amp plug point that will allow commuters to charge laptops, mobile phones, tablets, as well as music and gaming devices, without having to carry a bulky three-pin plug. International visitors will also be able to use the port as it is standard across most countries in the world.
TBM Rail, which works in partnership with market leaders to source and manufacture bespoke comfort-solutions for the global rail industry has commissioned specialist electrical component manufacturers www.contactum.co.uk to create an easy-fit socket that can simply replace existing sockets without the need for additional wiring.
Neil Smith, Sales Director at TBM Rail explains “Commuting is actually an extension of the working day for many people. This is a simple idea that makes life easy for the travelling public. We launched the concept at Railtex and have received unprecedented interest.”
Features include: Ultra slim back-box depth (25mm) making it ideal for refurbishment projects. The units holds the EN Test Certification, complies with BS1363, and is fully EMC Approved.
